Chancel and Handbell Choirs
The mutual benefits of both chancel and handbell choirs are the direct involvement in the worship experience. They give tangible ways for one's faith to find expression through music. They also help focus our prayer through music and give a way to directly touch the entire congregation in a moving and spiritual way.Come join us for an opportunity to use your musical gifts, improve your musical skills, join with others of like interests, and be nurtured by a loving group experience. It is one of the best ways to immerse yourself in the active life of the church and to get to know people quickly, comfortably and personally.
Children's Choir
The children's choir is not only a spiritual blessing to the congregation during its monthly performance, but is also an opportunity for your child to learn more about music. The ability to read words is helpful but not totally necessary. All music learned is performed from memory. Your child will be taught the basic principles of good breath support, rhythm and diction, along with interesting insights into the liturgical year and the seasonal liturgical colors. Your strong parental commitment is required for the experience to be a pleasant and valuable one for your child.
