About St. John's East
St. John’s East is warm hearted congregation of individuals and families that desire to share the love, grace and compassion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with others.
Our doors open each Sunday at 10am with coffee, snacks, and friendly Christian fellowship followed by service at 10:30am. During our traditional worship service you will hear hymns by organ and piano, pastoral and congregational prayer and a relevant sermon based on the word of God that you can apply to your daily life situations and circumstances.
We are a family-friendly group of believers with a variety of ministry opportunities including a live, interactive bible study every Wednesday at 12noon as well as a 6pm study opportunity via Zoom. Studying the bible is a priority at SJE as we believe that: “You can’t lead where you won’t go and you can’t teach what you don’t know.”

What We Believe
We at St. John’s East believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our Lord and Savior.
We look to the scriptures as the inspired Word of God.
We believe that God is three-in-one: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is given to believers to show God’s love.
In accordance with the teachings of our Lord we recognize two sacraments: baptism and the Lord’s Supper, or Holy Communion.
We believe that it is the responsibility of each person to respond to the Good News that we can find forgiveness for sin in and through Jesus Christ. It is sin that separates us from God, but we are reconciled to God through Jesus’ sacrifice.
We believe that as members of the Church, the Body of Christ, we are all called to minister to others.
We believe that we, at St. John’s East, are free to act in accordance with the collective decisions of our members, guided by the working of the Holy Spirit in light of the Scriptures.
St. John’s East is self-governing while at the same time working together cooperatively with other churches and faith-based organizations in our community.
We believe that God is love. One way that we express our faith is through love to everyone.
Sunday's at St. John's East
The congregation at St. John’s East wants you to know that our doors are open, and we would like to invite you to come on over and be a part of our Worship, Fellowship, bible Study, and other Community Events!
On Sunday morning, our Fellowship Café opens at 10:00am. We offer coffee, water, sweet treats, and friendly conversation for anyone who comes in. Worship begins at 10:30am, with solid, Bible centered preaching with Brother John D. Herring, Jr.
On Wednesday, we offer a Community Bible Study, open to any who desire to deepen their knowledge of the Bible and their relationship with Jesus Christ. We alternate between a book study or a topical study, although our study can be seasonally driven as well. The study meets on the premises in person at noon, as well as at 6:00pm via zoom. The zoom link may be found on the homepage of this website.
